Free WhatsApp QR Code Generator

This code encodes a wa.me link. Scanning opens WhatsApp with your number and, if you add one, a message already typed. Nothing is sent until the customer presses send.

  • No signup
  • Free commercial use
  • No watermarks

What should the code do?

Start a chat with a prepared message.

01

Let’s make your QR code.

Fill in your details. Your preview updates as you type.

The country is suggested from your device's language setting — your actual location is not detected — and you can change it at any time. Enter the national number, or paste a full international number starting with + — the country code is never added twice.

Scanning opens WhatsApp with the message ready. Nothing is sent automatically.

Your details. A little scanning magic.

Make it yours optional

Your colours, your logo, your finishing touch.

Start from a design template (optional)

A template only sets colours, module shape, error-correction level and the wording around the code. Whatever you have typed stays exactly as it is, and you can change every part afterwards.

Colours & pattern (optional)
Code colour
Keep a strong contrast, then test a scan.
Background
Keep a strong contrast, then test a scan.
Module shape

Higher levels recover from more damage but make the code denser. A centred logo needs Q or H.

Logo (optional)

Upload your logo

Add your brand to the centre of your QR code, or place it above or below. Always test the final code before printing.

Optional

PNG, JPG or WebP · Up to 2 MB · Stays on your device

Caption under the code & call-to-action (optional)

Printed below the symbol. Long text wraps onto up to four lines.

Captions and call-to-action bars are drawn outside the code, so the four-module quiet zone stays clear. Every download contains exactly the artwork shown in the preview.

How to make this code

  1. 1

Choose the country and enter the number as you would dial it locally — we never add a country code twice.

  2. 2

Write the prepared message, for example an order enquiry or a table number.

  3. 3

Print it and check the chat opens with the right number.

Create a WhatsApp QR code with India’s +91 country code

Choose India (+91) in the country selector and enter your WhatsApp number. For an Indian mobile number, use its ten digits without a leading zero. Check the full international number in the preview before printing. If your business is elsewhere, choose its country instead.

Add a short message such as “Hello, I’d like to ask about today’s menu.” Scanning opens the chat with that message ready for the customer to edit and send. It does not send a message automatically or add the customer to a broadcast list.

WhatsApp QR codes for enquiries, orders and packaging

Put a chat QR on a takeaway bag, business card or counter sign so customers can contact the right number without saving it first. A standard WhatsApp account or a WhatsApp Business number can receive the chat. The code opens a conversation; availability, replies and order confirmation are handled by your business.

For a menu and contact options on one page, use a QR Shop. Your WhatsApp number can be the same as your phone contact or a separate number. Add Google reviews, directions and UPI payments alongside it.

Test the code on another phone and check both the recipient and prepared message. If you change the number in a static chat code, print a new copy; editing a saved form does not change a QR already on your packaging.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a WhatsApp QR code for an Indian number?

Choose India (+91), enter your ten-digit WhatsApp mobile number and add an optional message. Check the international number in the preview, download the QR and scan it on another phone before printing a batch.

Does scanning send the message automatically?

No. WhatsApp opens with the text ready and the customer chooses to send it. That is a deliberate limit of the link format and of this tool.

Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?

No. Any WhatsApp number works. A Business profile just gives you catalogue and away-message features inside WhatsApp itself.

Which download format is best for printing?

SVG is a true vector file: a printer or designer can scale it to any size without losing edge quality, so it is the best thing to hand to a print shop. The PDF here places a high-resolution image of the same artwork on the paper size you choose, which suits home and office printing at that size. PNG is for screens and for systems that only accept images. Whichever you pick, print one copy at the final size and scan that copy yourself before ordering a batch — no format can guarantee a scan on a given printer, material or light.
