What to include in a useful report

Tell us which tool you opened, what you expected to happen and what appeared instead. Include your browser, device and the download format you selected. For a printing problem, mention the paper or label size, printer settings and whether you used actual size or fit to page. An exact error message is more useful than “it does not work”.

For QR Shops, include the public shop link and say whether the issue affects the owner editor or the customer page. Explain the steps using a harmless example item. Never include your password, email sign-in code, private customer details or payment credentials. If a screenshot contains private information, remove that information before attaching it to an email.

For a code that will not scan, test a larger dark-on-light version and the exported file before reporting it. Let us know whether the problem occurs on screen, on paper or both. If only one scanner fails, include its name and the code type. You can copy or download the report below, review it and decide what to send.

Try these first

  • Frequently asked questions — print formats, barcode types, Wi-Fi code privacy and more.
  • Guides — printing, alignment and label-specific walkthroughs.
  • All tools — the full directory of generators and calculators.
  • Privacy and Terms — what data is involved, and the operational terms for using the site.

Report a problem

Describe what happened. This composes a plain-text report — your description plus the current page address and time — entirely in your browser. Open email app opens your own mail app with the report already written, addressed to hello@qrcode.so. You still press send there; this page never sends anything itself.
