Free WhatsApp QR Code Generator

This code encodes a wa.me link. Scanning opens WhatsApp with your number and, if you add one, a message already typed. Nothing is sent until the customer presses send.

What should the code do?

Start a chat with a prepared message.

The country is suggested from your device's language setting — your actual location is not detected — and you can change it at any time. Enter the national number, or paste a full international number starting with + — the country code is never added twice.

Scanning opens WhatsApp with the message ready. Nothing is sent automatically.

Design

Code colour
On white. Always clear.
Background

Module shape

Higher levels recover from more damage but make the code denser. A centred logo needs Q or H.

Printed below the symbol. Long text wraps onto up to four lines.

Captions and call-to-action bars are drawn outside the code, so the four-module quiet zone stays clear. Every download contains exactly the artwork shown in the preview.

Upload your logo

Add your brand to the centre of your QR code, or place it above or below. Always test the final code before printing.

Optional

PNG, JPG or WebP · Up to 2 MB · Stays on your device

How to make this code

  1. 1

Choose the country and enter the number as you would dial it locally — we never add a country code twice.

  2. 2

Write the prepared message, for example an order enquiry or a table number.

  3. 3

Print it and check the chat opens with the right number.

Frequently asked questions

Does scanning send the message automatically?

No. WhatsApp opens with the text ready and the customer chooses to send it. That is a deliberate limit of the link format and of this tool.

Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?

No. Any WhatsApp number works. A Business profile just gives you catalogue and away-message features inside WhatsApp itself.

Which download format is best for printing?

SVG is a true vector file: a printer or designer can scale it to any size without losing edge quality, so it is the best thing to hand to a print shop. The PDF here places a high-resolution image of the same artwork on the paper size you choose, which suits home and office printing at that size. PNG is for screens and for systems that only accept images. Whichever you pick, print one copy at the final size and scan that copy yourself before ordering a batch — no format can guarantee a scan on a given printer, material or light.
